Remember MarioPaint?

Do you? It was amazing, a SNES game with a music writer, drawing stuff, a fly-swatting game. Recently, though, people have copied the sounds and concept, while expanding the range of notes that are playable, in Mario Paint Composer.

Ok, that one’s good, but after the jump, I’ll be showing you some of the best Mario Paint songs online.

This is a band Jehan, Ruth and I saw at FrancoFolies while we were in Montreal.  Their recorded songs on their website don’t do them justice unfortunately because they mix live on stage and all the percussion/bass consist of the guy beat boxing into a mic and then looping it.

Unfortunately I can’t find any videos of them mixing the backtrack live.  If I find one it will be posted.

If you ever get the chance to see them live you should do it!
